Trip to Sumburgh to See the Puffins

Took the camera down to Sumburgh today.
Sumburgh is the southernmost place on Shetland mainland.
It's about 40 miles from home, and a nice drive.
There were puffins EVERYWHERE!! They will sit as little as a couple of feet away from you, sometimes less, and let you photograph them. I love their expressions, but you have to be quick on occasions, because they're nosy little birds and they're always turning their heads from side to side. I probably got more shots of the backs of their heads than anything else!!
But here are a few photos for you. Hope you like them. Mainly puffins but a couple of others in there too. They should enlarge if you double click on them. Feel free to comment or ask questions about anything you see on this blog.

Here are some monochrome and sepia photos I've had a lot of fun with lately. Cropping is very creative!! And it's amazing what you can do by taking away colour! They're not meant to be perfect. It's just for my amusement!! Enjoy!

FLOWERS
