The Sea and All It's Textures
Hi again!
There are several visiting yachts, catamarans etc in our town harbour at the moment, so I took the camera down there the other day and got some photos.
Having spent my first few years of life on a tiny island where the nearest shop was a boat trip away, the sea still holds a fascination for me and I love taking photos of it's many elements.
Here are a few pics I like. Hope something appeals to you too!!

Beautiful Shetland
After 3 days at home while waiting for a new exhaust for the car, I finally got out!!! Tonight me and hubby went for a short drive to another pretty village and I took some photos.
Shetland is a very inspirational place. Everywhere you turn there is something good to see!! And it's amazingly quiet.
Here are a few of the photos I took this evening. I'll be adding some more over the next few days, but this will be a little taster for you. If you'd like any information about Shetland or want to comment on the photos, please leave a comment or get in touch via the email link in the side bar.

Trip to Sumburgh to See the Puffins
Took the camera down to Sumburgh today.
Sumburgh is the southernmost place on Shetland mainland.
It's about 40 miles from home, and a nice drive.
There were puffins EVERYWHERE!! They will sit as little as a couple of feet away from you, sometimes less, and let you photograph them. I love their expressions, but you have to be quick on occasions, because they're nosy little birds and they're always turning their heads from side to side. I probably got more shots of the backs of their heads than anything else!!
But here are a few photos for you. Hope you like them. Mainly puffins but a couple of others in there too. They should enlarge if you double click on them. Feel free to comment or ask questions about anything you see on this blog.
